The Most Important Question...

When choosing a photographer, a lot of people will focus on the portfolio, or the equipment the photographer uses, or the price of a 10x8 print. And whilst these things are obviously important, they are only a part of the equation.

So, why should you choose one photographer over another? What is the x-factor that swings the decision for you?

Connection.

If you have an emotional connection with your photographer then your shoot will be easier, more relaxed, more enjoyable and ultimately more successful than if you're uncomfortable. If you have this connection it will show in your pictures. And if you don't then it will certainly show in your pictures.

Ask yourself - "Do we get along?"

If the answer is "no" then it's probably time to move onto the next photographer in your list...
