Wedding Photography Key Moments - The Confetti Shot

The confetti shot is always a popular moment - a release from the formalities of the ceremony, and a chance for everyone to get involved and have some fun!

I will pose the bride and groom, then organise the guests with confetti into two lines either side of them, with the little kiddies standing in front of the lines. I like to do two 'takes' of this shot so I can get different angles and close-ups, so I ask the guests to only throw half their confetti the first time round. On the count of three, everyone throws, and the wide-angle shots are taken. Second time around, focus is much closer in on the bride and groom to capture their expressions...

Shots of the confetti on the floor make the final image telling the story of this fantastic tradition...
